A manhunt is underway after a woman was sexually assaulted in an Oldham park. Police were called to Alexandra Park at around 11pm on Monday (July 15) to reports of a “serious sexual assault”.
Greater Manchester Police have launched an investigation and are now appealing for information and witnesses to help find the culprit.
Detectives are also urging people to “avoid the park at night” following the incident, which has seen increased police patrols in the area.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Greater Manchester Police as enquiries continue.
DS Brereton, of GMP, said: “While we believe this is an isolated incident, we would encourage everyone to avoid the park area at night.
