“What happened in those six months really changed me more than I could have ever imagined,” Myers said. “It affected me more than my initial idea of clearing my skin or growing my hair out.”

Many will be desperate to know what Myers, from Mississippi, did to achieve such a drastic new look. Sure, she implemented many changes to her diet and habits, but her transformation also went much deeper than that. After all, beauty is not limited to the surface.

“I got into the habit of drinking collagen to help with my hair, skin, and nails. I really worked hard to develop my perfect morning and night skincare routine. I continued to drink a gallon of water a day and took biotin vitamins regularly,” she said.

“I started sticking to a regular gym routine, cooking more meals at home, and prioritizing my sleep, which is essential, especially for us moms. I started journaling. I relied heavily on mindfulness, self-awareness, and reflection to help me understand where true brilliance needed to happen.”

“The glow comes from within”

Over the past six months, Myers has seen huge improvements in her skin, her hair has grown faster and she is continuing her weight loss journey.

Not only does she look different, she also feels much better inside. She walks with confidence and, perhaps most importantly, she feels at peace. But it’s not over yet, as Myers hopes to maintain her new regimen and ensure that this new version of herself is here to stay.

“The inner work will never stop. Now that I know what it feels like to go through life as a healed individual, I never want to go back to the insecurity I felt before,” she said. Newsweek.

“Many people have complimented me on my glow, but I don’t think I could have achieved it by simply taking care of my skin. Glow comes from within. Through introspection, journaling, and therapy, I discovered some deep wounds that were never healed. Once I started seeking that healing, that’s when the real change happened.”

“Creating real and lasting change”

When it comes to improving our health, says wellness and mindset expert Sonia Jhas, “there’s no magic bullet.” The key is to be consistent with whatever changes we make, whether it’s skin care, diet, or exercise routine.

The speaker, educator and author claims that six months is enough to notice a change in oneself, provided a person commits and acts with real intention.

“Six months is enough time to establish new habits, change your perception and set the stage for lasting change,” Jhas said. Newsweek“By committing to yourself, you’ll build the foundation for a life that feels more aligned, authentic, and fulfilling. Reaching the six-month mark won’t feel like a finish line; it will be proof that you’re creating real, lasting change.”

Myers may look completely unrecognizable now—which is largely due to the collagen supplements, new diet, and new sleep schedule—but it’s also a result of her inner healing.

Jhas explains that mental well-being and physical well-being are closely linked, and healing from the inside out can have “a ripple effect on well-being.” They can also balance each other out, so when we thrive in one aspect, it can boost the other.

“A calm and balanced mind allows you to better tune into your body’s needs. Stress can disrupt this balance, leading to hormonal imbalances, sleep disturbances, and skin breakouts. By nurturing your mental space, you create an environment where your mind and body can thrive,” Jhas continues.

“Prioritizing mental health lays the foundation for making choices that honor and support your body, like eating nourishing foods, staying active, and practicing self-care.”

Social Media Response

At first, Myers thought it would be fun to document her six-month change on social media, though she didn’t expect it to garner so much attention. She’s incredibly grateful for all the support she’s received and encourages others to prioritize themselves, too.

Myers continued, “I’ve received an outpouring of love and encouragement on social media. It really reinforces that change is happening.”

“I’m a single mother and my little girl deserves to see her mother take care of herself. You can’t pour water into an empty cup, so as mothers we can’t stop taking care of ourselves. Try to find that little percentage for yourself, find things that make you feel confident.”

While social media has been praising her new look, Myers says many of the superficial changes are just “icing on the cake.” What she’s most excited about is the work she’s done to change herself on the inside.

“If you can heal yourself internally, everything else becomes a hobby rather than a necessity,” she says.

With over 650 comments on her TikTok post, the internet was full of praise for the 27-year-old. One commenter said: “Her mental health glows!”

Another person replied: “Girl, you look like a completely different person!”

While another TikToker joked: “I refuse to believe this is the same person.”
