Benchmark indices declined in early trade today, February 21 due to weak US markets, tariff threats, and foreign fund outflows. The 30-share BSE benchmark Sensex declined 202.21 points to 75,533.75 in early trade. The NSE Nifty dipped 63.5 points to 22,849.65. The biggest laggards were Tata Motors, ICICI Bank, Infosys, and Maruti among others, while Zomato, NTPC were top gainers among others.
At 1.40 PM IST today, the BSE Senses was 0.80 per cnet down at 75,112.78 while Nifty 50 was 0.77 per cent down at 22,734.65.
Meanwhile, brokerage Mirae Asset Sharekhan has suggested buying five stocks from a long-term perspective. According to the analysts, these stocks are expected to provide up to 67 per cent returns in 12 months. The expected returns calculations are based on the closing price of February 20.
