Stephen “tWitch” Boss’ family has MAJOR issues with Allison Holker.
On Tuesday, the widow shocked the world after detailing deeply personal secrets about her late husband that she only ever found out about after his death. First off, in addition to the marijuana she knew he was using, she said she found a “cornucopia” of drugs like mushrooms and pills hidden away in their closet. Then, she revealed that through reading his personal journal, she discovered something so utterly and completely heartbreaking: he’d been sexually abused by a male figure as a child.
So, so awful.
In her interview with People, Allison claimed her reason for sharing such personal information more than two years after his death — with more likely to come in her forthcoming memoir This Far: My Story of Love, Loss, and Embracing the Light — was to help others who may be fighting similar silent battles. But people were not happy.

Social media users quickly turned on the mother of three, slamming her for “disgracing” the late dancer’s legacy. And among those who disapprove of Allison’s transparency is her late husband’s family. Not long after the widow’s interview went live, tWitch’s cousin Darielle took to X (Twitter) to blast Allison for airing out his alleged drug use and to defend the late DJ. She wrote:
“He wasn’t an addict. He smoked weed and was actively trying to quit. He wasn’t some junkie.”
In an additional post, she added:
“All she claims is ‘weed and mushrooms and some pills’ but doesn’t specify the pills. And weed and shrooms….i get we may have different opinions on it but she’s framing it like he did METH or something like bffr”

Elle went on to say she’s “tired of keeping my f**king mouth shut,” and claimed Allison did the family “so mf dirty.” How, you may ask? Well, she apparently made tWitch’s whole side of the family sign NDAs to attend his funeral! She wrote in another post:
“Yeah idgaf about an NDA. This crazy woman made me and his actual family including [his mom] sign an NDA just to even attend the funeral. She’s been trying to tarnish his legacy and refuses to let the Boss family see the children. Only to exploit and LIE on my cousin. Hell no.”

Oh, that’s not good at all…
Elle even highlighted a social media post from August 2023 saying the same thing. See (below):
BY THE WAY, I said this back in 2023.
This has BEEN going ON. But instead of receiving help or any support ppl wanna speculate about MY life and claim I’m broke and want a payday? For WHAT? https://t.co/Z8DRqveTax

Oof.
She also pointed to tWitch’s autopsy report, which noted there were no drugs or alcohol in his system at the time of his death.
The autopsy report is fucking public bro.
He didn’t even have anything in his system when he died. https://t.co/AEdjh5jwfu pic.twitter.com/ulmbNTjgJr— BIG ELLE ???? (@wthDARIELLE) January 7, 2025
Over on Instagram, the late TV personality’s close friend and So You Think You Can Dance alum Courtney Ann Platt RIPPED into Allison for her “tacky, classless, opportunistic act.” She began her lengthy post:
“Anyone who knows me, knows I go straight to source during a conflict and handle my business but since there’s clearly no shame in being so public, I haven’t said a word in two years but here I go. I was there the moment you both connected, I was there the day you got engaged, I stood by your side on your wedding day, I was in your home the day he died. I was by your side because your husband was my family. It didn’t matter how often we spoke, how often we saw each other. We were bonded IVever. This is by far the most tacky, classless, opportunistic act I have ever seen in my entire life.”
Echoing Elle’s claims, she continued:
“We all had to sign some weird NDA to attend his funeral (even his own mother who you’ve treated like garbage this entire time and let’s just remember you wouldn’t have even had a husband if it wasn’t for her) not to share anything or ruin his name as if that was on anyone’s mind in the first place and here you go and write a book with all the dirty laundry smearing his name and attempting to dim the bright loyal, loving, light that was your husband, my friend. Whether any of it is true or not is actually beside the point. This is how you protect the “Boss name” you so quickly dropped on your social media platforms 48 hours after he passed? His legacy? This is how you protect his children from any further humiliation, hurt and despair? This is what you want them to remember about him?”
Yikes…
The professional dancer finished:
“You have moved on, you’re living your life, you’re on every carpet you can get on, every celebrity row you can sit in, every magazine you can be in and you needed to do this? Get a journal, a therapist, a friend…but publishing a book shamelessly sharing the pages of your husband’s journal? People magazine? What a joke. Yes, he took his own life which is a fact all of us still can’t fathom and he was clearly having mental health issues, hurting so deeply and this is your example of empathy? Of your love? This smear campaign for a buck is absolutely not what he would have ever wanted. No matter how bad he was hurting. Not for second. You’re a living, breathing bulldozer. Stick to your own demons. Shame on you Allison, shame on your money hungry team. Let my friend Rest in Peace not your PR.”
See (below):
tWitch’s brother Dré Rose gave his stamp of approval on the post, sharing it to his IG Story with the caption, “No lies told.” He also shared a Story post from tWitch’s other close friend Jay Chris Moore, who had the following to say:
Allison previously responded to some of the backlash she’s been receiving by doubling down and claiming she’s “just trying to help people feel safe to ask for help and support.”
