Billy Ray Cyrus is not happy with his son Trace!

In case you missed it, the 35-year-old musician penned an emotional letter to say he, Miley, Noah, and Brandi are “worried” about their father as he is “struggling,” fearing the world may “lose him” if he doesn’t get help soon. The emotional plea came after his terrible performance at the Liberty Ball after Donald Trump’s inauguration on Monday. However, it sounds like Billy Ray has been going through something for quite some time — not just this week.

Even his ex-wife Firerose hinted he hasn’t been well behind the scenes and is “glad the truth is coming to light — for his potential good because healing is only possible when you confront the truth and accept there’s a problem.” Remember that she claimed he struggled with substance abuse during their divorce. Oh no…

That said, we do not have confirmation about what is exactly going on with Billy. No one else has spilled what he is “struggling” with. But if you ask his other son, Braison Cyrus, he is as “healthy” as a horse right now. A source for Page Six also alleged the family is “pissed” at Trace for starting drama and heavily implying drug problems in his post when their father is actually “sober.”

Hmm.

Billy Cyrus is especially upset at Trace now to the point where he is ready to take their beef offline and to the courts. On Saturday, the Metro Station guitarist took to Instagram Stories to claim the Achy Breaky Heart artist hasn’t reached out to him – but did have a family member inform him that his dad plans to take “legal action” against him! Whoa! Alongside a picture of Billy Ray, Trace wrote:

“‘Jesus is my booster’ Ohhhh the irony. For all of you wondering no I still haven’t heard from my dad. He did contact a family member to let me know he’s taking legal action against me for encouraging him to get help. Dad I live 30 minutes away from you. You could’ve just come & talked to me like a man.”

The Hannah Montana alum couldn’t have talked to his own son first about this? Seriously? Trace then re-posted his heartbreaking letter to Billy Ray on Instagram Stories, adding:

“Meant every word I said. It’s the truth.”

He went on to post several pictures of him, Billy Ray, and their family, including a pic from Father’s Day 2022 – which he says “was the last good day I had with my dad.” Take a look (below):

Trace wasn’t finished. The singer later slammed Billy Ray as a “disgrace” for threatening legal action, writing:

“Dad my message was beyond loving. I could have been extremely honest about a lot more but I don’t want to put your business out there like that. But for you to threaten me with legal action for wanting you to get help is a disgrace. Pappy is looking down at you with such disappointment I can assure you. You should be ashamed of yourself. I will always love you but I no longer respect you as a man. Everyone close to you is terrified to tell you how they really feel. I’m not. Get help.”
